Playing Possums

Round the Twist is a playful piece tending to the vaudevillian with a clownish main theme played by the violins, violas & cellos contrasting with a delicate second theme by piano and pizzicato strings.

The piece is based on a 4-note ascending scale and is a good preparation for the A & D major scales, while attention to dynamics and articulation make this a fun piece for the young student.
