Christmas Bells
Christmas Bells is written in the style of a traditional Christmas Carol, the chorus sections reminiscent of the pealing of church bells or a “carillon”.
The themes are built on the D major scale with 3-part harmony sections throughout. Ascending & descending 2-note slurs are introduced, and there is a solo option for violin, viola or cello in the first section of the piece.
Christmas Bells is suitable for the beginner student who is about to transition to the Preliminary level.
